Claire O’Donnell

Claire O'Donnell's work spans the concert hall, opera pit, recording studio and community stage. A performer, recording artist, composer, arranger and educator, she works across orchestral, solo, chamber and traditional music settings, collaborating with leading musicians while creating engaging musical experiences for audiences of all ages.

Claire performs regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra, Irish National Opera and the BBC Ulster Orchestra, appearing as both principal and sub-principal harpist. A former Principal Harpist with the European Union Youth Orchestra, she has collaborated with many of Ireland's leading musicians, ensembles and festivals.

Alongside her orchestral work, Claire enjoys an active solo and chamber career, with recent appearances at the Cairde na Cruite International Harp Festival, Wexford Opera Festival and Harp Ireland's Cruitirí Chill Mhantáin recital series. She recently led Music Network's Wicklow Teaching Residency with Trio Accord and is Head of Harp at the City of Dublin ETB Music Centre.
