John Fitzgerald

John FitzGerald has published six books of poetry, including three with Gallery Press: Long Distance, The Time Being, and a translation to English of the eighteenth-century Irish poem The Lament for Art O’Leary. He is lead editor of Ireland-Japan Connections and Crossings, published by Cork University Press, and is executive producer of a number of film documentaries. A winner of the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Prize and the Atlantic Currents Prize, he is currently Adjunct Professor at the School of English, University College Cork.
